The assault caused the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
